How to Get Legally Married in Ireland with a Personalised Ceremony
Planning a wedding in Ireland? One of the most important – and exciting – parts of your day is the ceremony itself. It’s the moment you officially say “I do” and begin your married life. But if you want your ceremony to be both meaningful and legally recognised, you’ll need a registered wedding solemniser who can guide you through the process and deliver a ceremony that feels personal and right for you.
That’s where Leading Ceremonies comes in - and me, Minister Rebecca Kemp.
Legal Wedding Ceremonies in Ireland – Made Simple
As a Health Service Executive (H.S.E.) registered wedding solemniser, I offer fully legal wedding ceremonies across Ireland. That means there’s no need for a separate registry office ceremony – your wedding with me is the real deal.
To get legally married in Ireland, couples must:
- Give a minimum of three months’ notice to the H.S.E.
- Attend a meeting at a Civil Registration Office
- Receive a Marriage Registration Form (MRF)
Once you’ve got your MRF, I can legally marry you.
I’m registered with FuturFaith Ministry, which allows me to conduct legal weddings seven days a week, at any time of day, all year round.
The Personal Touch – Your Ceremony, Your Way
Every couple is unique, and your ceremony should reflect that. Whether you’re planning a relaxed garden wedding, an intimate elopement on the coast, or a big celebration in a castle, I’ll work with you to create a ceremony that feels like you.
Your legal wedding ceremony in Ireland can include:
- Personal vows
- Readings and poems
- Music of your choice
- Symbolic rituals such as handfasting, candle lighting or sand pouring
- Friends and family
You can mix tradition with modern elements, include cultural references, or keep it short and sweet. It’s entirely up to you.
Where Can You Have a Legal Wedding Ceremony?
One of the biggest advantages of choosing a wedding solemniser is flexibility. I can legally marry you at any location that meets HSE criteria – the venue must be open to the public and have a recognisable address. From scenic outdoor spots to luxury hotels, the choice is yours.
If you're unsure about whether your venue qualifies, I’m happy to help.
Why Choose Leading Ceremonies?
With years of experience as a celebrant and legal solemniser, I bring a calm, organised, and supportive approach to every wedding. I’ll help you navigate the legal requirements, answer your questions, and ensure your ceremony is a highlight of your day – not just a formality.
You’ll feel confident, relaxed, and involved from the very start.
